Welcome to Jonesin' for Cake!
My name is Jessie Jones and I am the owner/operator of this small Artisan Cake, Cupcake and Cookie business.
I have so many fond memories as a child growing up surrounded by fresh home cooked meals and real baked goods that were made from scratch. It was this food culture that I became accustomed to that inspired me to pursue a career in food.
After years of working in the hospitality industry--front and back of house--I decided that I wanted an education to back up my goals. I attended Fanshawe College here in London, Ontario and received my Culinary Management Diploma as well as became an Apprentice with the government of Canada. I am currently studying to write my Red Seal Certification.
I have apprenticed in several restaurants here in the forest city but found my passion in the kitchen was creating savory meals made of fresh ingredients for my family and friends and using my love of visual arts to design hand painted Cakes, Cupcakes and Cookies.
My philosophy on food is simple. Find fresh ingredients and support your local community. It is important to me that we are educating our young on the importance and value of eating fresh and that making our own food can serve to be a much healthier choice and very therapeutic!
Here at Jonesin' for Cake I take great pride in creating one of a kind pieces of edible art! Each Cake, Cupcake and Cookie is carefully crafted by hand to give you top quality art and food. All my products are made from fresh ingredients and baked to your satisfaction. All of my packaging is recyclable friendly and can be used in many new and creative ways! (Check out my gift baskets!).
